STYLOSOPHIQUE - Moda, Make Up & Lifestyle: BARCELLONA 2010 || Day 7 (19.10.10)

Tuesday was our last complete day to spend in Barcelona. Our freinds leave the city early in the morning so me and Dario decided to visit one of the place we wanted to see since we booked the holiday: Casa Battlò.

Martedì è stato il nostro ultimo giorno completo trascorso a Barcellona. I nostri amici sono partiti preso la mattina e quindi io e Dario abbimo deciso di visitare uno dei posti che volevamo vedere fin dal momento in cui abbimo prenotato la vacanza: Casa Battlò.

We had seen it from the outside on our first day in Barcelona, during the walk in Passeig the Gracia but we went there again to enter and visit it. And we did well: from the inside it's so wonderful. Never seen anything so spectacular in a house before. Listening to the audio guide we are also learned lots of things that we did not know before (even if Dario is a big fan of this type of art) such that, despite the house belongs to the UNESCO heritage, it is private and the owners are to maintain it (at their own expense) in the wonderful state in which it is now.

L'avevamo già vista da fuori il giorno che siamo arrivati a Barcellona, durante la passeggiata che abbiamo fatto in Passeig the Gracia ma ci siamo ritornati per entrare e visitarla. E abbiamo fatto bene: da dentro è uno spettacolo meraviglioso. Non ho mai visto niente di così spettacolare in una casa prima d'ora. Ascoltando le audio guide siamo inoltre venuti a conoscenza di cose che prima non sapevamo (anche se Dario è un vero appassionato di questo tipo d'arte) come ad esempio il fatto che, nonostante la casa sia patrimonio dell'UNESCO, è di proprietà privata e sono i proprietari a doverla mantenere (a loro spese) nel meraviglioso stato in cui si trova.

I liked this house so much that when it was time to sign the guest book I can only write "IF IT WERE MINE I WOULD LIVE THERE"

Mi è piaciuta così tanto che quando è stato il momento di firmare sul libro ospiti sono stata capace di scrivere solo "SE FOSSE MIA CI VIVREI".

I really appreciated the fact that you could visit all the entry to the terrace. Especially the latter is really wonderful. From there you have a wonderful view over the city: I did not want to get off! Ho molto apprezzato il fatto che era possibile visitarla dall'entrata fino alla terrazza. Specialmente quest'ultima è davver bellissima. Da lassù hai una splendida vista della città: non volevo più scendere!

The decoration of walls and tiles were alternated with white corridors decorated with strings that make them similar to a human cost: all those things made a really surprising contrast of colors and empty spaces .

La decorazione di muri e mattonelle erano alternate a corridoi bianchi decorati da archi che li facevano sembrare simili ad un costato umano: tutto questo creava un contrasto di colori e vuoti davvero sorprendente.

In the afternoon we have a break with a wonderful Caramel Frappuccino near Topshop where we went after the break to do some shopping.

Nel pomeriggio abbiamo fatto merenda con un fantastico Frappucino al caramello vicino a Topshop dove siamo poi andati a fare un po' di shopping.

In the evening we were lonely for dinner because (I had said it yet) our freinds leaved in the moring. So we went to our favourite place: the Frankfurt cerveseria!

A cena eravamo soli perchè (l'ho già detto) i nostri amici erano partiti la mattina. Allora siamo andati nel nostro posto preferito della vacanza: la Birreria in stile Frankfurt!
